2026 Goals

  • Increase the number of junior golfers impacted through our sponsored programs.
  • Continue to promote, sponsor, and grow the Operation 36 Junior Golf Academy at WLGC.
  • Expand sponsorship and participation in the Greater Muskegon Junior Tour.
  • Sponsor and support the Junior PGA Drive, Pitch & Putt local qualifying event at WLGC.
  • Provide ongoing support to the First Tee of West Michigan.
  • Continue supporting the golf programs at Whitehall and Montague High School and Junior High.
  • Pursue enhancements to the Evan McCombs Practice Facility at WLGC, with a focus on junior golf instruction and player development.

2022 Impact

Expanding Junior Golfer Participation

  • Increased Junior Golf Academy enrollment from 23 to 48 participants by reducing program cost from $300 to $100 and actively promoting through Whitehall and Montague schools.
  • Invested in (10) sets of U.S. Kids Golf clubs and instructional equipment to accommodate a wider range of ages and skill levels, supporting greater access and inclusion.

Growing the Operation 36 Junior Golf Academy at WLGC

  • Continued implementation and promotion of the Operation 36 instructional program at WLGC.
  • Enhanced accessibility through subsidized pricing and expanded outreach, resulting in significant year-over-year participation growth.

Supporting Competitive Junior Golf Opportunities

  • Sponsored the final Greater Muskegon Junior Tour event at WLGC, hosting 40 junior golfers (ages 10–17) and providing a high-quality tournament experience, including meals and player amenities.

Supporting Community & School Golf Programs

  • Provided financial support to both the boys and girls golf teams at Whitehall and Montague High School, reinforcing long-term player development pathways.
  • Supported programming aligned with First Tee initiatives through shared equipment and facility usage.

Investing in Facilities for Junior Development

  • Purchased a dedicated building to store junior golf equipment and serve as a central hub for Junior Golf Academy and First Tee clinics held at WLGC. This investment represents a foundational step toward long-term improvements to the Evan McCombs Practice Facility, with a focus on junior instruction and player development.
  • Practice facility expansion for junior golf instruction and use at WLGC.
