Goals and Accomplishments

2023 Goals

• Continue to promote, sponsor and grow the Operation 36 Junior Golf Academy at WLGC.
• Increase sponsorship of the Greater Muskegon Junior Tour.
• Pursue opportunity to sponsor and support a Junior PGA Drive, Pitch & Putt local qualifying event at WLGC.
• Continue to provide financial support to the boys and girls golf teams at Whitehall and Montague High Schools.
• Pursue improvements to the Evan McCombs Practice facility at WLGC specifically targeted for junior golf instruction & development.

2022 Accomplishments

1. Purchased (10) sets of US Kids golf clubs accommodating various heights as well as instructional equipment to be utilized by both the First Tee and Junior Golf Academy for clinics at White Lake Golf Club.
2. Promoted & Subsidized the Junior Golf Academy at WLGC utilizing the Operation 36 Instructional Program. Marketed the Academy through Whitehall & Montague schools, reduced participant cost from $300 to $100 and more than doubled annual participation from 23 to 48 kids from the White Lake area.
3. Sponsored the final Greater Muskegon Junior Tour tournament event held at WLGC. Provided golf balls, snacks, drinks and lunch for 40 local juniors ages 10 to 17 years.
4. Provided financial support to each of the Whitehall HS and Montague HS boys and girls golf teams.
5. Purchased a building to be used for storing junior golf equipment and serve as a gathering location for Junior Golf Academy and First Tee Clinics at WLGC.
6. Fundraising & Disbursement activities:

• • Received a significant specific donation to fund the Jr Golf storage building.
  • Conducted fundraising at WLGC Annual Party (Putting Contest and Live Auction).
