Student Golf Membership Discounts

The White Lake Junior Golf Foundation is supporting junior golfers in the greater White Lake area by providing a discount for a limited number of student memberships at either White Lake Golf Club or Old Channel Trail Golf Course. These discounts will be made available to current students or recent graduates of Montague or Whitehall Schools. Qualification for the discount will require a demonstrated ability to play the game of golf unsupervised and the sponsorship by a PGA golf professional from one of the two courses, a MHS or WHS golf coach or a MHS or WHS PE instructor.

Participating Golf Courses:

  • Old Channel Trail Golf Course (OCT)  Annual student membership cost is $350, discounted price is $175.00
  • White Lake Golf Club (WLGC) Annual student membership cost is $450, discounted price is $225.00

Eligibility:

  • Must be a current student or recent graduate of Montague or Whitehall schools.
  • Must not have graduated from college or be older than 23 years of age.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency of the golf game and etiquette as determined by a golf professional, coach or school PE instructor.

Process:

Complete the application form, including getting a sponsoring signature from one of the following:

  • PGA golf professional at either OCT or WLGC
  • Golf coach at either MHS or WHS
  • PE Instructor at either MHS or WHS

If approved for a student membership, the White Lake Junior Golf Foundation will pay half of the cost for the student membership fee at the requested club.

Limited Supply:

  • Up to (12) student membership discounts are available for the 2026 season.

Limitations:

  • Memberships are only good for the home golf course, not for both courses.
  • Student members must adhere to the local golf course rules for conduct, use of facilities, and scheduling times of play.
